Since 2011, I have been helping small business owners navigate the SBA borrowing process and throughout my career one thing has remained constant: there’s an unfortunate lack of credible information about these loan programs. This problem stems in part from lenders creating their own (often more conservative) requirements on top of the program requirements and pawning them off on SBA. This then gets amplified by loan brokers pretending to be experts on social media causing a whole bunch of misinformation in the marketplace. Me on the other hand, I’m an actual SBA lender.

I’ve been part of 4 different lending institutions over the last decade+ and have the type of behind-the-scenes experience that most of the self proclaimed “experts” just don’t have. I’m still in the trenches every day as Managing Business Development Officer at one of the most active SBA 7(a) lenders in the country and continue to guide my borrowers through their business acquisitions, partner buyouts, and real estate purchases. And now it’s finally time I speak out and help solve this problem once and for all.
